Letter to the editor: More illegal immigrants are not the answer to labor shortages

While our country and our county are experiencing a labor shortage, bringing in even more illegal immigrants is not the solution. When I see someone come up with such a thing, all I really see is pure greed.

Our open borders allow for a massive increase in drug trafficking, women, children, crime, terror and human exploitation, all in the name of cheap labor and future votes.

The last thing Summit needs is even more workers willing to work for below-standard wages and therefore needing even more taxpayer subsidies. As always, market forces will solve labor shortages and raise local wages, but not until our government steps down and lets the law of supply and demand take hold.

Elizabeth Miller, shame on your greed.
