Kaseya Partners with FIU to Launch Technology Workforce Pipeline | FIU News
Miami’s tech sector has grown exponentially over the past two years, resulting in a massive demand for talent to fill vacancies. Kaseya, a global company with US headquarters in Miami since 2004, hopes to hire for 400 positions in sales, R&D, customer and product support, and finance.
“There is a national shortage of tech talent. We are working hard to counter the brain drain from South Florida and ensure Miami students are prepared for roles in the city’s rapidly growing tech ecosystem,” said Fred Voccola, CEO of Kaseya. “Kaseya is committed to her hometown and looks forward to continuing to work with the CRF and government leaders to prepare the workforce coming online for the technology opportunities of tomorrow.
As part of the partnership, Kaseya will provide curriculum guidance by actively participating on college advisory boards to ensure technology and soft skills are integrated. He will also provide mentorship on various senior capstone projects and offer ideas from his leadership team to create co-branded certification programs with the university. Additionally, the Cyber Apprenticeship program will prepare IT students for jobs in customer support through hands-on training. As part of the collaboration, Kaseya also actively supports the FIU Sales Society and recruits graduates for account management positions.
“This partnership with Kaseya demonstrates FIU’s commitment to understanding industry needs and implementing programs that will ensure our students are prepared for meaningful careers,” said Elizabeth Béjar, Executive Vice President and Chief of the operation of FIU. “We look forward to working with Kaseya and incorporating what we have learned into the program and into our career and talent development programs.”
To address the labor shortage, Kaseya also launched the Grow Your Own program. The initiative cultivates talent by supporting new recruits in their professional careers within the company. Regardless of career path – sales, customer support, research and development, finance or administration – Kaseyans receive consistent training and guidance through educational programs, mentoring and leadership development. The company offers multiple growth opportunities and promotes from within.
Every month, Kaseya hosts Hire-Palooza, an open house hiring event held at its Miami headquarters in Brickell. The next one is scheduled for April 19 and those interested can register here. To view Kaseya jobs worldwide, click here.
