Summary of work
Petrophysical Senior Physicist provides superior petrophysical interpretation skills for training evaluation in well operations and field evaluation through successful field development.
The individual would support Enageed’s asset valuation and management on operated and non-operated assets, while working with petrophysical/G&G software to perform petrophysical evaluations on various company-owned assets.
Support Enageed drilling and completion operations and rig safety.
Design optimal logging schedules, taking into account objective formations, fluid characteristics and company budget.
Oversee computer analysis of new and old wells to obtain maximum reconciliation of logging data with core, drill pipe tests and descriptions of geological samples.
Analyze dip measurement, production and fracture identification records.
Analyze logs, by hand or using a programmable calculator, when computer analysis is impossible or inappropriate.
Coordinate log analysis for integration into reservoir assessments, reservoir model studies, or geophysical outlooks.
Undertake special research or in-depth studies of problems, such as overpressure, variable log rating parameters, or exotic minerals.
Prepare and present course evaluation logs for general or detailed study by oil company personnel.
Prepare detailed seismic models from well logs in conjunction with stratigraphic or structural assumptions and create synthetic seismograms for each model using a computerized system.
Attend well completion, drilling location, partners and progress meetings.
Oversee the logistics of logging, coring, testing and laboratory operations.
Edit log data (rescale, change depth, edit points).
Prepare accumulations of porosity and volume of hydrocarbons with or without cuts – detailed or summary lists
Provide many different log analysis methods, with user-defined options, choices based on data quality and training characteristics
Create tank summaries sorted by area, project, and cutoff levels
Prepare synthetic seismograms on original or modeled data, with variable wavelet type and frequency, and create a synthetic seismic section.
Property modeling support for generating static models. Knowledge/skills
