Groveland Department of Highways seeks applicants for Principal Worker

GROVELAND – The City of Groveland would like to announce that the Groveland Highway Department is seeking a full-time Principal Worker.

The Senior Laborer will perform manual labor for maintenance projects, including building and repairing streets and maintaining sidewalks. Other duties include driving trucks, hauling gravel, and helping maintain city fields and irrigation systems.

Applicants must have the ability to operate heavy machinery and an in-depth knowledge of materials, methods and safety precautions relating to street construction and maintenance. Applicants must also have the ability to work in variable weather conditions.

The main worker will work 40 hours per week and must hold a Class 2B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement and a Class 2B Lifting Engineer’s License or higher. Possession of a 4G lifting license is preferred.

Pay ranges from $27.26 to $30.31 per hour. For a full job description, click here.
