Living wage as a right: Salient concerns in its implementation

Nov. 21, 2022 /CSRwire/ — The Anker Research Institute is pleased to announce its participation in the IDH Living Wage Summit in Brussels on the 7e of December and is looking forward to inviting everyone to join its session “A Living Wage as a Right”. Business and labor representatives, along with officials from the standards organization Fair Labor Association and a senior researcher from the Anker Research Institute, will examine some of the key concerns that promote and hinder the payment of living wages, and how viable strategies could be constructed for the achievement of the stated goal of soon realizing the payment of decent wages.

Speakers will include: Azfar Khan, Principal Investigator at Anker Research Institute. Olav Boenders, Managing Director of Wagagai Farms, Uganda. Maurice van Beers, Strategic Policy Advisor / Latin America Regional Coordinator at CNV International and Tiffany Rogers, Director of Fair Compensation and Membership Engagement at the Fair Labor Association (FLA).
