Need workforce training? The College of the Canyons Employee Training Institute can help!

Exciting things are happening at the College of the Canyons Employee Training Institute (ETI)!
ETI was awarded a $1.5 million contract by the California Employment Training Panel (ETP) to provide training to client companies in the Santa Clarita Valley that want to retain a skilled workforce. This is the largest FTE contract College of the Canyons has ever won!
What is ETP? ETP was established in 1982 to ensure California businesses have the skilled workers they need to stay competitive.
Why is this contract important? Your business can benefit from training. More companies will have access to the training due to the new eligibility rules included in this contract. The two-year reimbursement contract will allow the college to offset training costs billed to private and public sector employers, as well as not-for-profit organizations.
These timely funds will go a long way in helping businesses grow and retain their workforce to meet their diverse needs.
Many employers across the country are currently having difficulty finding and retaining qualified employees. In fact, economists have begun to call this trend “The Great Resignation.”
With these ETP funds, ETI will be able to respond to this economic trend right here in the Santa Clarita Valley! We are very happy to be able to extend our training services to companies that have been affected by the pandemic.
College of the Canyons has a long reputation as an ally of the local Santa Clarita business community. If your company is in need of workforce training, please contact the College of the Canyons Employee Training Institute to find out how we can help!
