Jordan calls for end to Israeli occupation

On Monday, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the escalation and continued violations committed by Israeli occupation extremists in storming the blessed Al-Aqsa/Al-Haram Al-Sharif Mosque, and the fact that they are allowed to carry out provocative practices that violate its sanctity, under the intense protection of the Israeli occupation police.

The ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Haitham Abu al-Ful, said the escalation of violations and accompanying provocative practices in the Holy Mosque and the Islamic cemeteries surrounding it constitute a violation of the historical and legal status quo, and international law.

He pointed out that the blessed Al-Aqsa / Al-Haram Al-Sharif Mosque, with its entire area of ​​144 dunums, is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims, and the visit for non-Muslims must be organized by the Waqf Islamic Church of Jerusalem which is affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf Holy Places as it is the legal authority with exclusive jurisdiction to manage all affairs of the mosque and regulate access to it.

Abu Al-Ful called on the Israeli occupation, as the occupying power, to immediately cease all practices and violations against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and to respect its sanctity, stressing the need to stop all measures aimed at modify the existing historical and legal framework. Status quo.
